Apply an appropriate amount of essence to the palm of your hand. With your fingers, gently tap onto clean skin on your face until it is completely absorbed. When you notice an area of very dry or sensitised skin, you can soak a cotton pad with the essence and place it there for about 5 minutes for a great soothing effect.
